27 December 2018 the President of the Republic of Belarus signed decree number 500 "On State Social Insurance".

This Decree provides for the following significant innovations:

– The order of payment of compulsory insurance contributions by individual entrepreneurs, notaries, lawyers. AT particular, individual entrepreneurs, notaries, lawyers are exempt from compulsory payment of contributions to the budget of the Fund for the periods of non-exercise of business, notary and advocacy. Declare periods of its activities will be referred to payers by providing 1 once every year, not later 31 March of the year, following the reporting year, the Fund's organs individual documents (personified) accounting. Terms of payment of premiums for these payers remain the same, not later 1 March of the year, the next the reporting.

– Granted the right to self-employed individuals, carrying out activities, not related to business, to participate in the state social insurance voluntary basis, subject to the payment of contributions for pension insurance Fund budget. In this way, from the self-employed will be able to (at subject to the payment of compulsory insurance contributions for at least, than size the minimum wage) to qualify for a pension upon reaching retirement age, disability, survivor.

– Органам Фонда предоставлено право взыскания задолженности плательщиков взносов с электронных кошельков.

– Settled the issues of rights and guarantees in the sphere of state social insurance of persons, working for foreign organizations on the territory of Belarus and citizens, acquitted by the court and the prosecution against discontinued.
